Michael Cheung is the Marketing Director of Upsolar, where he oversees all marketing and PR initiatives. His general routine includes the creation of marketing strategies to reach out to potential new clients. The Challenge

Upsolar used to have an in-house graphic designer. However, the designer left the company. There was no immediate search for a replacement, and nobody in the company was familiar with graphic design tools, like Photoshop or Illustrator. Even finding someone in-house would have taken weeks, but marketing campaigns couldn’t stop.

Michael required graphic design help to make Upsolar marketing more powerful and appealing to the audience the company is reaching.

As head of Marketing, Michael had to find a solution that was immediate but also high quality.

The Solution

Michael had never heard of unlimited graphic design before. He was used to freelancers, in-house designers, and even agencies, but a service like Kapa99 was something new to him.

The Results

A billboard for Upsolar’s Japan branch and promotional materials for the American branch were all created in the same week and without traveling a single mile!

"We recently had to work with Upsolar’s Japan team to create a billboard design, and due to a high standard, there was a lot of communication going back and forth to make sure the final design was perfect. The Trello board allowed clear communication between Upsolar and themselves across different time zones, and in the end, everyone was satisfied with the results.

There have been a few incidences where some cases were very urgent, but the most memorable one was working with our American branch and putting together summer promotional materials. When it began, we thought there would be enough time, but we were wrong.

In fact, the case got so urgent that at one point, I was reaching out to Kapa99 in the evening to try and get part of the materials finalized. Needless to say, they got it done in the end. I think any other company wouldn’t go that far, and that is one of the main reasons why we stick with Kapa99.
